The Peter Pan Committee

Fundraising for children for almost 90 years.

The Peter Pan Committee

The Peter Pan Committee is the main fundraising auxiliary of Barnardos and continues to raise millions of dollars to ensure children are safe from abuse and neglect.

The committee was originally established in Sydney in 1936 to support the ‘Free Kindergarten’ in Union Street Paddington at a time when there was no government funding for kindergartens. In 1974, when government funding for kindergartens was introduced, the Peter Pan Committee decided to direct its fundraising to support Barnardos Australia.

Thank you! We are very grateful for your generosity and your support for Australia’s most vulnerable children.

WHAT WE SEE

We see beyond the sleepover in cars and understand the underlying issues.

After escaping family violence, a parent and their child have nowhere safe to stay and are
currently waiting for refuge accommodation.
