Raising money for vulnerable children

The theme of the show is “Fearlessly Optimistic” with artists kindly donating never-before-seen artworks created especially for the event. ‘Fearlessly Optimistic’, embodies the unrelenting passion of Barnardos. We never give up and are deeply committed to changing lives by improving the safety and wellbeing of vulnerable children and are optimistic about the future of Australian children. The artists and attendees of this exhibition are equally determined and connected to our shared belief in an optimistic future.

In the current world climate, this show will provide some much-needed positivity and joy. The historic Cellblock Theatre at the National Art School will also provide an inspiring backdrop as those hallowed halls developing so many incredible local artists since 1843.

Carefully curated with artworks to please a range of tastes and price ranges, the show will include sculpture, photography, paint on canvas and prints.

All pieces will be available for sale via online auction which will be shared when bidding opens May 9 at 9am, and closes on May 16 at 10pm.

The iconic Peter Pan Op Shop is back for Winter this year! This high end, vintage and second-hand clothing sale is a biannual event that raises much-needed funds for Barnardos Australia.

Join us for the sale of the season to support Barnardos programs and services that support disadvantaged children, youth, and their families.

3 days only

This is a women’s only event. EFTPOS facilities are available. All proceeds go to Barnardos Australia.

Dating back to World War II, the Op Shop is run by the dedicated women of the Peter Pan Committee who have supported our work with vulnerable children and families for over 85 years. It has since become an iconic fundraising event held twice a year in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs where those with an eye for fashion can scour the racks for top-end items at rock bottom prices.

The sale features designer brands such as Bianca Spendersass & bide and Zimmermann, with all clothing, footwear and accessories donated to help raise much-needed funds for our programs and services.

A heartfelt thank you to all who donate to our Op Shop sale. From large designer brands to local Sydney women, your generous support ensures Barnardos can continue providing urgent care and essential services to those most vulnerable. Thanks to the kindness of people like you, last year we helped a total of 10,987 children, young people and their families!
