Child Protection Week 2023

Cumberland City Council & Integrated Violence Prevention and Response Service (IVPRS) Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) partnered to launch Child Protection Week 2023 with a fun filled day for the Cumberland Community.

The event had activities focusing on ‘Me and my body: emotional literacy and body safety for pre-schoolers.’

Services delivered an interactive activity that was suitable for pre-schoolers and aligned with the theme ‘Where we start matters.’

Barnardos Auburn Child, Youth & Family Support (CYFS) and Family, Connect & Support (FCS) teams delivered a planting activity to demonstrate that we need to nurture and love plants for them to grow, just like children.

The stall was a success with children, parents and carers wanting to pick their seeds and hopefully watch their plants grow!
