Foster carers make a difference

Foster carers can play a vital role in the lives of children who have been through hardship in their lives. They can provide a stable and safe home for a child that desperately  needs one.

Barnardos Australia understands that the process of becoming a foster carer can be complicated and daunting. To help you make a decision about becoming a foster carer we hold regular foster carer information sessions around NSW and the ACT. These information sessions provide an opportunity to learn more about the different types of foster care, the skills and commitment that foster carers need, and the help and support that is provided by Barnardos.

To find a session near you please keep checking this page or call our foster carer enquiry line on 1800 663 441.
