It is with pleasure we announce that at the ACWA National Conference Awards Dinner held last night at Doltone House Darling Island, our CEO Deirdre Cheers was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award for service within the Children and Families sector.
The award was presented by Minister Kate Washington, with wonderful congratulations from many across the industry. This is a great reflection on Deirdre’s contribution to the Children and Families sector over many years.
And in the words of Deirdre, “Each of us, in whatever kind of children’s special care work we are doing, need to listen closely and carefully to children. Keep working together, but more importantly, keep standing up, and speaking out for children.”
