Drug and Alcohol Program

Adolescent in need

The Streetwork Project is Barnardos' drug and alcohol prevention program. The program aims to work with any young people from any cultural background aged between 12 and 20 who may be misusing drugs and alcohol. These young people can refer themselves or be referred to Barnardos by other organisations.

The goals of the program are to educate young people about the risks involved with drugs, to help to identify what stressors are driving substance abuse, to minimise those stresses and to promote health and alternative activities to drug-taking.
