TV personality and Barnardos ambassador, James Mathison, has won $25,000 for his chosen charity, Barnardos Australia, on Celebrity Apprentice Australia.

James won the money after being appointed project manager of his team during a challenge set by Mark Bouris to launch his new financial product at a “suburban shopping mall”.

James and his team impressed Mr Bouris with their knowledge of the product, promoting him to give James an extra $5000.

A visibly emotional James explained Barnardos provide safe havens for abused and neglected kids and raised the issue of the thousands of children in Australia who suffer abuse every year “and as a dad, that just breaks my heart”.

Mr Bouris congratulated James on bringing awareness to the issue and for wearing his heart on his sleeve.

James will continue his appearance on Celebrity Apprentice next week on Channel Nine on Wednesday night at 8.40pm.
