Sydney - Sydney Metro
The Sydney Metro Childrens Family Centre began operation in June 2009. Sydney Metro is an integrated centre and comprises South East Sydney Temporary Family Care (TFC), Yurungai Kin Care & Family Preservation and The Aboriginal Early Years teams. It is also the administrative office for the Yurungai Learning Centre in Waterloo.
Sydney Metro is Barnardos’ newest childrens family centre, covering the geographic area from Sydney’s inner city, inner west, and south eastern suburbs to Sutherland in the south and east to the coast. This centre provides family support, kin care and after school homework services for Indigenous and non Indigenous children, young people and their families in addition to mainstream crisis and respite temporary foster care services.
