Barnardos Australia gratefully receives assistance from all sectors of the community, and many non-corporate organisations and their members and employees also recognise the immense importance of ensuring that Aussie kids are nurtured, cared for and educated in the best possible environment.
Construction Forestry Mining Electricity Union 
The Construction Forestry Mining Electricity Union (CFMEU) is one of Australia's strongest and largest unions, representing over 200,000 members Australia-wide. Andrew Ferguson, Secretary, CFMEU NSW represented all those members when he expressed CFMEU's support of Barnardos' work and their understanding of the need to support disadvantaged children and their families.
CFMEU are strong supporters of Barnardos' annual Star of Wonder Christmas Appeal as well as conducting regular fund-raising drives among members throughout the year.
"CFMEU members were encouraged to dig deep for this important organisation and it is wonderful to see our members continue to extend their generosity to Barnardos through the year," said Andrew Ferguson. "Sadly, with a report of child abuse or neglect received every 2.5 minutes in Australia, we must all do the best we can to support these forgotten little Australians."
