Western NSW

Barnardos has a range of rural services for families in Central and Far Western NSW. Many of the families we work with are Aboriginal and are geographically and socially isolated. These programs bring much needed services to the bush.

The  Barnardos Western NSW centre opened in July 2000 and currently delivers a range of child, youth and family support programs covering the Mudgee, Rylstone, Coolah, Wellington, Gilgandra, Narromine, Cobar, Warren, Nyngan, Orange and Warrumbungles shires.

Program projects include family mediation, supported playgroups, parenting programs, Yalmambirra homework centre and breakfast club, living skills programs, young mothers group, self esteem workshops, protective behaviours workshops and interagency co-ordination.
