Barnardos > How to Help > Making a Bequest

For 120 years in Australia Barnardos has extended a helping hand of compassion and support to disadvantaged children and young people. Through assistance to them and their families we have worked towards improving their lives by reducing the pain of poverty, neglect and abuse.
Our long experience in this field has led to the development of our integrated welfare programs, continually improved and amended to offer the best solutions to young people entrusted to our care.
Our aim is to offer children the opportunities in life that they deserve. Our vision – for every child, a caring family.
However, no matter how much Barnardos would like to assist every child who needs our help, as with every charity organisation, we are limited by funds. And this is where you can help.
Many generous people from every avenue of life make the decision to mention Barnardos in their Will. Over ninety cents in every dollar donated goes directly to help young Australians and their families. By simply adding a few words to your Will, you can make a bequest which may alter the lives of young people who are just starting out.
Remember – you can make a difference.
An example of the standard wording of a bequest:
