Fundraising for Christmas in July
Raising money is easier than you think and it makes the biggest difference to children and families in need. Take a look at the impact your funds can have:
- $250 will provide birthday presents for ten children who would otherwise go without.
- $500 will provide developmental toys specially designed to engage children with learning difficulties
- $1000 will allow 600 toys to be delivered to individual children spread across the remote areas of NSW
- $2000 will provide one week’s worth of essential basic winter food supplies for 40 families for a week
We love hearing about the imaginative ways you are raising money for Barnardos. Some of the activities going on right now include:
- Staff lunches - Everyone purchases a special lunch at an inflated price and the company matches what’s collected. The staff gets to enjoy a fun gathering and Barnardos benefits from the support.
- Casual Monday – Extend the weekend by coming to work in casual clothes or even fancy dress! All that’s required is a gold coin to participate.
- Individual employee donations – staff are encouraged to contribute individually by having one staff member give a short informal presentation on what the needs are.
- Christmas Tree in July - staff take a tag of a Christmas tree or poster, make a donation or purchase a toy online, after which they receive an origami template which they can then proudly display.
