Q. What is Star of Wonder?
A. The Barnardos Star of Wonder Gift Appeal makes a difference in the lives of some of Australia’s most disadvantaged children at Christmas. This fantastic initiative invites companies, schools, community groups and individuals to buy gifts online or fundraise for donations that can go towards providing essentials and practical support for children and young people over the holiday period.

Q. Why support Star of Wonder?
A. For many kids, the festive season is not a time of happiness or celebration and sadly too many never experience a decent meal, let alone the joy of receiving a present. By supporting Star of Wonder, you will be sharing in the true spirit of Christmas, and helping to make it a time to celebrate and remember for children facing extreme poverty, disadvantage, neglect and abuse.

This year, the organisation that donates the most to our appeal will
WIN a Star of Wonder
 Morning Tea* at their workplace!

The company will also be thanked in our supporter newsletter^ and
in our Star of Wonder online pages.

Q.  How do I get involved in Star of Wonder?
A. Simply visit our online toy storegift card store or donate online. However in order to legally fundraise or collect actual gifts on behalf of Barnardos, you will need to obtain authority to fundraise and a unique ID number from us.

Organisations
1. Nominate a Star of Wonder coordinator who will serve as a point of contact for us and ask them to complete the ‘Registration form’.
2. The coordinator should email the form to sow@barnardos.org.au or fax to 02 9281 0526

Individuals
1. Complete our ‘Registration form’ and email to sow@barnardos.org.au or fax to 02 9281 0526

Q. When is Star of Wonder?
A. Star of Wonder runs from mid October right up until Christmas. You can purchase toys from our online toy and gift card stores or make an online donation.

Q. Why can’t I buy my own food and toys?
A. By donating gifts and money online you are helping us to minimise our logistical and administration costs and maximise the number of children we can support. Please click here for more information about donating online.  If you are unable to donate online, please call us on 02 9218 2331 or email us at sow@barnardos.org.au

* The organisation that donates the most to our appeal will win a morning tea sponsored by Cookieman at their workplacce. The promotion will run from 9am AEST on 19 October 2010 to midnight AEST 24 December 2010. The winning organisation will be contacted after 25 December via email and/or phone.
