In memory of Eric Evans.

Eric Evans was sadly robbed of his childhood due to the tragic events of 19 December 1996. Eric’s family have dedicated more than 16 years to ensuring that other children have the chance at the future Eric did not. Just like Christmas marks the anniversary of his death, Easter marks his birth. This year family and friends will acknowledge what would have been Eric's 22nd birthday with their annual Easter appeal.

Every year thousands of children and young people turn to Barnardos for help. The statistics are alarming - every day in Australia there are more than 110 substantiated reports of child abuse or neglect.*

As a lasting tribute to Eric his family continue to advocate for Barnardos, helping us to achieve our vision. Thank you for joining us in ensuring that Australian children have loving families and a safe, stable home giving these children the best chance to heal and to have a happier, healthier life.
