Barnardos Canberra Childrens Family Centre
The Canberra Centre has been operating for over 40 years during which time there have been many changes in program development. Barnardos Childrens Family Centre in Canberra offers family support, out-of-home care and supported accommodation services for disadvantaged children, adolescents and their families in the ACT and surrounding areas.
The programs address the problems of Canberra, with a population of young families and increasing numbers of adolescents. Canberra has a broad cross- section of people and Barnardos programs target the most financially and socially disadvantaged.
Barnardos integrated approach to child welfare means that programs within the Centre offer seamless solutions to meet a child’s particular situation. Families and young people may be accessing up to three programs at any one time.
